HELENDALE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 17-year-old Helendale boy is accused of trying to stab his father and damaging two vehicles during a late-night domestic disturbance, according to authorities.
Deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the 27500 block of Silver Lakes Parkway on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at about 11:20 p.m. after receiving a report of a family dispute involving a knife.
The victim, the suspect’s father, told dispatchers that his son had stabbed his vehicle and fled on foot.
Further investigation revealed the teen had returned home intoxicated and, when confronted, brandished a knife and attempted to stab his father through a metal security door, according to a written statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The teen then allegedly climbed onto his father’s vehicle, shattered the front windshield, slashed all four tires, and caused similar damage to a Chevy truck at the property.
The suspect had already fled before deputies arrived, and as of Monday, had not been located. The investigation is ongoing.
