Victorville Man on DUI Probation Arrested After Pursuit and Alleged Drunk Driving

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 37-year-old Victorville man currently on probation for DUI was arrested Monday night after allegedly driving under the influence and leading deputies on a brief pursuit.
On November 3, 2025, at approximately 8:39 p.m., Deputy G. Palacios from the Victorville Station attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2017 Ford F-150 near D Street and Stoddard Wells Road after the driver failed to stop at a red light.
According to a written statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the driver, later identified as Rafael Ramirez, failed to yield, prompting a short vehicle pursuit.
The incident ended in the parking lot of Global Credit Union near Apple Valley Road and Kamana Drive in Apple Valley.
After stopping, Ramirez exited the vehicle and was detained. Deputies determined he was on active probation for a prior DUI conviction and suspected he had again been driving under the influence.
Ramirez was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on suspicion of V.C. 23152(A) – Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and V.C. 2800.1(A) – Evading a Peace Officer.
