Man Arrested After Shooting, Attempted Carjacking in Adelanto; Second Suspect Sought

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 29-year-old Adelanto man was arrested after deputies say he shot at a victim during an attempted carjacking Monday afternoon, while a second suspect remains at large.

Deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded at 2:37 p.m. on February 9, 2026, to a report of shots fired in the 18600 block of Casaba Road.

According to a written statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies learned two adult males approached a residence and contacted the victim outside the location.

Investigators determined one of the suspects, later identified as 29-year-old Reondre Green of Adelanto, pointed a handgun at the victim and struck him on the head with an object.

Authorities said a second suspect also assaulted the victim as the pair attempted to take the victim’s vehicle but were unsuccessful. Green then discharged a firearm at the victim, but the victim was not struck. Both suspects fled the scene before deputies arrived.

The adult male victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at approximately 2:21 p.m., deputies, along with the Specialized Enforcement Division, served a search warrant in the 23000 block of Yucca Loma Road in Apple Valley.

Green was arrested at the location and transported to the High Desert Detention Center, where he was booked for attempted murder, attempted carjacking, and conspiracy, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

The second suspect has not been identified and is described as a Black male adult, approximately 6 feet tall with a muscular build.
