Deputies Investigating Robbery Near Sheep Creek Road And Phelan Road

PHELAN, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Deputies are investigating a robbery reported Tuesday afternoon in Phelan after a victim told authorities an unknown man approached him and a friend and stole his property.

The robbery was reported at about 2:14 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, in the 4000 block of Phelan Road.

According to information provided by Gloria Orejel, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies began investigating after the victim arrived at the Sheriff’s Station and reported he had just been robbed.

The victim and his friend had been in the shade on the west side of Sheep Creek Road, south of Phelan Road, when an unknown Black male approached them.

According to Orejel, “The suspect reached into a bag he was wearing and ordered one of the victims to the ground and ordered the other to turn away.”

The suspect took property belonging to one of the victims and fled the area.

No additional description of the suspect or information about the property taken was provided.
