Vehicle Fire Temporarily Shuts Down I-15 Freeway in Hesperia

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A vehicle fire on the northbound I-15 freeway near Joshua Road forced a temporary shutdown of lanes Wednesday afternoon, October 8, 2025.
According to a California Highway Patrol incident log, the fire was reported around 12:06 p.m. along the northbound I-15, between Joshua Road and Main Street.

The vehicle, described as a maroon SUV pulling a trailer with bicycles, became fully engulfed in flames along the right shoulder.
All four occupants safely exited the vehicle before it caught fire.

Due to the intensity of the flames and heavy smoke, CHP officers temporarily shut down all northbound lanes.
The column of black smoke was visible from several miles away.
The closure caused significant delays, with traffic backing up south of Joshua Road.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
