Yeast Free Cinnamon Rolls




What you will need:

  • 2 cups Self Raising Flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 100 grams butter
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • Glaze
  • 1 cup of icing sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons water

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven to moderate and grease and line a baking tray
  2. Sift together the SR flour and salt
  3. Rub in half the butter and gradually add the milk. Knead the mixture until a soft dough forms
  4. Roll the dough into a 3-4cm thick rectangle
  5. Cream together the remaining butter, cinnamon and sugar
  6. Spread this mixture over the dough
  7. Roll the dough into a cyclinder and cut into 3cm thick slices
  8. Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown
  9. Whisk together the icing sugar and water and drizzle across the buns.

Makes about 12.
