WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Who said it never rains in the summer? Well, that’s just what happened this morning in the mountain community of Wrightwood.
Vendors and people in attendance at the 54th annual Wrightwood Mountaineer Days were caught off-guard when a little rain and lightning made an unwelcome appearance.
According to the National Weather Service, the forecast predicted a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms with a high of 86 degrees. Sundays’ forecast will be mostly sunny with a high of 85.
A little rain won’t stop the 2-day event from moving forward.
Mountaineer Days is a family-oriented festival that includes handmade arts and crafts, food, and a vendor village. On Sunday at 1:00 pm there will be a parade themed “Community Pride” for more information visit wrightwoodchamber.org
