Would-be robber in Victorville chased down and held by the victims

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A would-be robber was held captive by two brothers after they caught the suspect breaking into their apartment.
It happened on November 12, 2018, inside the Mountain Vista Apartments in the 15400 block of Nisqualli Road in Victorville.
At about 7:30 pm, the suspect Leon Parker, a 28-year-old transient entered the apartment and took personal property belonging to the residents, officials said.
Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said, “one of the residents heard Parker on the balcony and alerted his brother. The two confronted Parker and Parker ran, taking some of the property with him.”
Rodriguez said the victim’s chased Parker, catching him nearby and holding him until deputies arrived.
Parker is a previously convicted a felon, was booked at High Desert Detention Center for robbery.
According to public arrest records, Parker is charged with PC211 Robbery, HS11550(A) Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, and HS11377 Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is being held without bail due to violating his post-release community supervision.
