VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): A worn rail that failed is suspected to have caused an 18 spine car train derailment on Friday morning in the city of Victorville.
The intermodal freight train carrying non hazardous containers and trailers derailed on April 10th at approximately 11:15 A.M. According to authorities, no injuries were reported when the BNSF train heading to Chicago derailed.
The train originating from Los Angeles according to witnesses derailed around the area where E st. becomes National Trails Highway, just west of the Cement Plant in the D and E street area.
The official cause for the derailment remains under investigation.
