Woman’s Body Found in Trash Bag Along Interstate 15; Investigation Underway

San Bernardino County, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A woman’s body was found in a trash bag along the northbound 15 freeway, prompting an investigation.

On January 4th, at approximately 2 pm, a Caltrans crew clearing up trash near mile marker 63, situated between Hodge Road and Outlet Center Drive along the northbound 15 Freeway, in an unincorporated area of San Bernardino County under the supervision of the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Station, came across the distressing scene.

The bag containing the remains was discovered behind a small mound of rocks along the shoulder of the 15 freeway.

Upon inspection, a crew member found the lifeless body of a white adult female, described as having visible tattoos and exhibiting signs of bruising.

The California Highway Patrol confirmed the incident to VVNG on Monday, and said they have transferred the case to investigators from the Inland Division Investigative Services Unit.

Authorities have assured that the matter is actively under investigation and is an ongoing case.

As of now, no further details are available, and the name of the deceased woman has not been released.

It remains unclear if the authorities have been able to identify her at this time.
