CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Authorities are investigating a death after a woman’s body was found down an embankment, officials said.
It happened on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at about 10:00 am, in the area of Lone Pine Canyon Road East of State Hwy 138, in the Cajon Pass.
Deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station arrived and located the deceased woman off the roadway and down an embanknment.
Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division responded to the scene and are conducting a death investigation, officials said.
Sheriff’s officials did not say how long the woman had been deceased before she was discovered. And said an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
The victim has not been identified and officials said positive identification is pending.
The investigation is ongoing, additional information will be released as it becomes available.
