UPDATE: Missing Woman Located Safe at a Walmart in Victorville

UPDATE 1/27 at 11:30 am — The missing woman was located safely at a Walmart in Victorville; Additional details were not immediately available.

HESPERIA, CA – Authorities in Hesperia are urgently calling on the community to help find a missing woman diagnosed with dementia.

Brenda Lubak, 61, was last seen at her adult living residence at 11539 Hawthorne Avenue on the morning of Friday, January 26, 2024.

Description of the Missing Person:

  • Name: Brenda Lubak
  • Age: 61
  • Physical Characteristics: 5’9” in height, weighing 170 lbs., with gray hair and green eyes.
  • Clothing: She was last seen wearing a pink jacket, gray Mickey Mouse pants, and white shoes.

Lubak, who struggles with mental health issues, does not have access to a cell phone or vehicle, which adds urgency to the search.

Surveillance footage captured her running east on Eucalyptus Street from her residence’s location on Hawthorne Avenue. Unfortunately, she has no known family in the vicinity to aid in her discovery.

The Hesperia Sheriff’s Station has released a photograph of Lubak and urges the public to remain vigilant.
