Woman Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison for Attempted Murder

VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): A 51-year-old Victorville woman, was sentenced on Tuesday to five years in prison for the attempted murder of a man that she was living in an abandoned Victorville home with.
On March 27, 2015, at around 1:00 p.m., the woman, identified as Tina Mae Zussman stabbed the male victim that was believed to be her boyfriend, several times during an argument on the 15200 block of Dos Palmas Road.
The victim walked to a nearby business to report the incident and was subsequently airlifted for treatment of stab wounds to his stomach and chest authorities said. Zussman was arrested that evening and booked into the West Valley Detention Center where she remains until she is transferred to a women’s prison in Chino, California to serve the remainder of her sentence.
As part of a plea bargain on Tuesday, Zussman changed her not guilty plea to a no contest for attempted murder charges. This plea was part of an agreement to drop a single felony count of inflicting corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant.
Zussman will be credited for 365 days time served, which includes a conduct credit.
