Woman Killed in Crash on El Mirage Road Wednesday Morning

EL MIRAGE, CA – A woman was killed early Wednesday morning when her vehicle collided with a semi-truck, authorities confirmed.

At approximately 6:58 a.m. on February 14, 2024, emergency services were called to the intersection of Richardson and El Mirage Roads, an unincorporated area in Adelanto.

Despite immediate response and life-saving attempts by the San Bernardino County Fire, the driver of the white Toyota Corolla succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

The semi-truck’s driver did not sustain any injuries.

Mara Rodriguez, a spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, confirmed that the driver who died was an adult woman. The identity of the victim remains undisclosed while authorities pursue their investigation into the crash.

According to Staci Parks, the public information officer for Victor Valley Station, a collision occurred when a sedan struck the back of a semi-truck that was making a right turn off El Mirage Road.

The semi-truck appeared to be transporting a generator, and it is not yet determined whether it was in the process of slowing down for a nearby power plant at the time of the accident.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department – Victor Valley Station is investigating the collision.

As the investigation proceeds, El Mirage Road will remain closed between Beaver and Richardson Roads for an undetermined period.

Officials have not released further details, but updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
