
SPRING VALLEY LAKE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 24-year-old Hesperia woman is behind bars on attempted murder charges after she allegedly stabbed her ex-husband multiple times during a scheduled custody exchange, officials said.
On September 14th at about 7:40 pm deputies responded to Desert Valley Hospital regarding a 25-year-old male adult with multiple stab wounds.
Deputies contacted the victim and learned the suspect, his ex-wife Ruvalcaba, came to his home in the 12900 block of Norfolk Lane in Spring Valley Lake for their scheduled child exchange.
According to sheriff’s spokeswoman Staci Parks, “the victim and Ruvalcaba’s boyfriend started to argue and a physical fight ensued. During the fight, Ruvalcaba came up behind the victim and started stabbing him. He sustained two stab wounds in his neck and one wound to his upper back. The victim’s girlfriend drove him to the hospital, as she attempted to drive away Ruvalcaba stabbed her vehicle with the knife.”
Deputies arrested Ruvalcaba at the victim’s residence where she was detained by the victim’s family members. Officials said the knife was found inside her vehicle.
Ruvalcaba was booked at High Desert Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bail. She is scheduled for a pre-preliminary arraignment inside a Victorville courtroom on September 17, 2019.
