HESPERIA– (VVNG.com): The woman that tragically lost her life on the I-15 just north of Highway 395 early Tuesday morning has been identified by family and friends. The well-loved woman, who once worked as a bartender at Rustic Tavern and Bombshells Bar captured the hearts of all who knew her has been identified Tuesday evening as Suzanne Lanier.
“She was an amazing woman. Very welcoming and loved everyone she met,” said Lacy Quintanar Lucero. Friends told Victor Valley News that their friend, who they call “Suzy” was on her way home from work when she lost her life. They also said that she was a loving single mother of a beautiful 18 year old daughter, who recently graduated from high school.
The collision occurred at about 3:10 a.m. when Lanier, according to CHP officials went through the road closure, hitting a truck. The vehicle then swung into nearby lanes due to impact subsequently hitting a Freightliner tractor-trailer.
Lanier was extricated from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. A Caltrans worker was also injured as a result of the collision. His condition is unknown at this time.
Lanier’s family is asking for the public’s help to give her the proper memorial and burial. They have started a go fund me account to help collect donations.
