HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A woman sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital after a crash on southbound Interstate 15 Monday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol incident logs, the crash occurred at about 10:22 a.m. just south of Main Street near the Target shopping center. It involved a dark-colored 1998 Toyota 4Runner and a semi truck.
The driver of the 4Runner was conscious, but unable to self extricate from the vehicle. Firefighters were able to remove her through the rear-passenger door within minutes.
It’s unclear how the crash occurred at this time, however, the semi showed signs of damage to the front driver side, including a headlight that broke off during the collision. The driver and passenger of the semi did not sustain injuries.
Southbound traffic was temporarily affected for several miles as a result of the crash.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol – Victorville Station.
