Woman Found Dead Next to Car on I-15 Near Baker

BAKER, CALIF.(VVNG.com)- A woman was found deceased Wednesday evening on the 15 freeway about five miles north of Baker, CA.
On October 26th at 7:27 p.m. dispatch received a wireless call reporting a deceased person along the shoulder of the northbound freeway.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol responded to find a female deceased outside her vehicle which was parked on the side of the road, authorities said.
Officers determined the female had been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. CHP officers searched for the suspect vehicle but were unable to locate, per CHP incident logs.
The woman’s identity will be released to the public after she’s been positively identified and her family notified.
The Barstow office of the California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
