VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — An adult woman died Tuesday afternoon after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool at the Beyond Stay Hotel in Victorville.
The incident was reported at approximately 2:39 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, at the Beyond Stay Hotel, located in the 15300 block of La Paz Drive.
Deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to the hotel following reports of a drowning.
“Deputies responded to the location for a drowning call. When they arrived, they learned an adult female was found in the pool. Fire responded, pulled the woman from the pool and she was pronounced deceased,” Sheriff’s spokeswoman Gloria Orejel told VVNG.
The identity of the woman is pending notification of next of kin.
Additional information, including the woman’s identity and the circumstances leading up to the drowning, was not immediately available.
