Woman Arrested For Taking A Plunge Into Her Pool

HESPERIA-(VVNG.com): A 51-year-old Hesperia woman was arrested Friday night after crashing into a fence and landing into the empty pool of her own home.

Deputies from the Hesperia Station and Medics from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a home in the 17600 block of Mauna Loa street near I Avenue at around 10:33 p.m. to find a silver 2009 Nissan Cube inside the empty pool in front of the home.

The sole occupant, Antonia Razo Saldana, was temporarily stuck in the vehicle that was resting on the driver’s side in the pool.Upon running the plates of the vehicle, deputies were baffled for a moment when realizing the registered address of the vehicle matched the address of the crash. Deputies and medics were quickly able to free Saldana, but after a sobriety test, she placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol .08 percent or higher.

She was taken to the High Desert Detention Center where she was cited and released with no court dates scheduled at this time. There were no injuries reported as a result of the collision.
