Woman arrested for beating up her elderly family member in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department arrested a 50-year-old woman for elder abuse after she beat up a family member.
The suspect, Perla Alvarado, was arrested on February 27, 2019, after deputies responded to a welfare check on the 23100
When deputies arrived they learned Alvarado, made several threats via cellphone to an elderly family member, stated Apple Valley Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Jacqueline Alban.
Alban said the victim went to his neighbor’s house to have them call 911.

The victim sustained injuries to his face, arm and hand from the assault however refused treatment.
Alvarado was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for violation of PC368 (B)(1), elder abuse. Her bail is set at $50,000 and she’s scheduled for arraignment inside a Victorville courtroom on March 4, 2019.
