Woman Arrested and Charged with Burglary After Breaking Into a Home in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 45-year-old Apple Valley woman was arrested and charged with burglary after breaking into a home and wearing some of the stolen clothes.

On Sunday, February 18, 2024, deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 22800 block of Bear Valley Road for a subject trespassing.

“The caller reported they were not at home and were watching a female subject on their home surveillance cameras attempting to get into a shed,” stated sheriff’s officials in a news release.

Deputy B. Almazan responded to the location and contacted the suspect, Rachel Anita Ramos.

“While talking to Ramos, a neighbor reported their home had been broken into. Deputy Almazan investigated and found that Ramos was wearing clothing stolen in the burglary,” stated the release.

Rachel Anita Ramos was arrested for PC 459 – Burglary and was transported to the High Desert Detention Center. Ramos was found to be on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) and was also booked for PC 3455 for violating the terms of her release and is being held on this no-bail warrant.

On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, the Victorville District Attorney’s Office filed felony charges of PC 459 – Burglary against Ramos.
