Woman Airlifted After Saturday Afternoon Collision

APPLE VALLEY-(VVNG.com):  On Saturday, January 3rd at approximately 2:10 PM dispatch received a report of a single overturned vehicle near Highway 18 near the Chase Bank drive-up ATM. The unidentified female was the sole occupant in the vehicle.

“She was screaming and the cops were restraining her,” said Victor Valley News member Bella Kash.

The white Ford Crown Victoria was driving on Highway 18 near Bass Hill when her vehicle left the roadway, crashed into a sign then overturned just feet from the Chase Bank drive-up ATM.

“I was there and she didn’t roll she hit the Denny’s sign and went airborne flipped then landed upside down. It was a horrible accident,” said witness, Brenda Smith.

The woman, was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment of major injuries she sustained due to the collision. There is no further information at this time regarding the cause of the collision or the condition of the woman. The accident is currently being investigated by the Apple Valley Police Department.
