Woman airlifted after crashing into a Victorville City Fire training tower

VICTORVILLE, Calif. ( — A woman was airlifted to a trauma center after she crashed into a concrete tower located at fire station 311 near the Victorville Fairgrounds Tuesday night.

It happened on May 7, 2019, within the parking lot of the City of Victorville’s Fire Station # 311 located at 16200 Desert Knoll Drive.

For reasons still unknown, at about 8:00 pm, a woman driving a black 2015 Honda Accord crashed her vehicle into the training tower, causing major damage to the vehicle.

Due to the woman’s injuries, a Mercy Air medical helicopter was requested to land in the parking lot of the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds. She was flown to an out of area trauma center with unknown injuries.

The Victorville Police Department is investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call (760)241-2911.
