Woman Airlifted After Colliding with Semi on Highway 395

HESPERIA-(VVNG.com):  On Sunday, January 18, 2015 just before 5:15 p.m. a major injury traffic collision was reported near Yucca Terrace Drive and Highway 395. Units responded to the scene to find a female victim trapped in her white Ford Focus, requiring extrication.

According to witnesses at the scene, the white Ford Focus was traveling southbound on Highway 395 when for unknown reasons, she collided into the rear of a tractor-trailer that was making a left hand turn from Yucca Terrace Drive onto northbound 395. The female occupant of the Ford Focus was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, and is said to be in serious, but stable condition.

“The Ford Focus was being driven by my daughter that was on her way to work,” said Monica Moctezuma on Victor Valley News group.

The collision blocked lanes going both northbound and southbound on Highway 395 causing a hard road closure in both directions from Main Street and Highway 395 to Bear Valley Road. There were no other injuries reported as a result of the collision. The roadway reopened just before 7:00 p.m.
