Winning Super Lotto Ticket Purchased in Hesperia

HESPERIA:(VVNG.com)-The Super Lotto ticket purchaser of a ticket purchased at Oak Hills Market located on Mariposa in Hesperia, at a Chevron Station is now $21,239 richer. The winner picked 5 winning numbers, as did one other winner who purchase their ticket at a Circle K in the city of El Cajon. The winnings are far from the $16-million dollar jackpot but still substantial considering the small investment of the ticket purchase. There was no $16,000,000 winner for this week.

The winning numbers were announced on Saturday, June 28th. The winner has yet to come forward. In order to claim their prize they must download a claim form and either go in to a local Lottery District Office or send it in. When sending it in, along with the winning ticket the winner must make sure to keep a copy for proof. Winnings will take 6-8 weeks to receive.

Although lottery winnings are exempt from local and state taxes, winners will be responsible for Federal Income taxes. When claiming winnings they will ask for a social security number and will send 25 percent of your winnings directly to the Internal Revenue Service. If you do not provide a social security number they will send 28 percent to the Internal Revenue Service. The percentage sent to the IRS may not be all that is owed depending on the tax bracket you are in as far as income taxes are concerned.

Regardless of taxes, the winner will still be receiving from $15292.08 to $15929.25 that he or she was not counting on.
