According to the National Weather Service, a low pressure system moving near southern CA will create strong and gusty winds through this weekend. A wind advisory is in effect from now until 7am pst on Sunday. Beginning tonight we will see an increase in southwest winds of 20-30mph. with local gusts of 55 to 60mph possible through favored mountain passes, canyons, and ridge-tops.
Friday through Sunday morning expect gusty west to southwest winds over the mountains and deserts. With a chance of showers and drizzle over and west of the mountains through Sunday morning.
Blowing dust and sand will reduce visibility to one mile or less at times in the deserts, watch for broken tree limbs. Winds will make driving difficult especially for motorist with high profile vehicles. The winds will diminish Sunday morning.
