UPDATE @ 8:00 PM: According to SCE website, repair crews have been notified and are aware of the problem. An estimated 2031 people are currently without power. Service is expected to be restored by 9:30 PM.
APPLE VALLEY:(VVNG.com)- On Thursday, November 5, 2015 at about 6:35 P.M., many residents took to the Victor Valley News Facebook group reporting a power outage.
The outage is impacting a large area surrounding Dale Evans, Waalew, Wyandot, Zuni, and Rancherias near Highway. At this time it’s unsure how many customers are affected by the outage.
“The lights went off at Brewster Park in the middle of soccer practice”, commented Victor Valley News member Kristen Hunter.
According to the Southern California Edison website, there is only one planned outage in the Town Of Apple Valley in the area of Eyota Road and Malakia Road. The planned outage is to upgrade equipment and only scheduled to affect 46 customers.
As of 7:00 P.M., the cause of the wide-spread unplanned outage is under investigation.
