Wanted : Burglary Suspect Bradley Oakes

Since May 8, 2013, Deputies Taylor Long and Dominic Moody have been working an investigation into a residential burglary that occurred in the 15100 block of Sheep Creek Road in Phelan. The suspects cut a lock to the victim’s property and forced entry into several sheds, an RV and an enclosed trailer. The suspects stole items from the property, including a dirt bike and a quad.

Through their investigation, Deputies Long and Moody were able to identify the suspects as Kirk Gleason and Bradley Oakes. Deputies authored a search warrant for both suspect’s residences.

On May 29, 2013, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Deputies served the search warrant at Gleason’s residence in the 2900 block of Auburn Avenue in El Mirage. Gleason fled out the back door of his residence. With the assistance of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Departments Aviation Division, Gleason was located and taken into custody without incident. Inside the residence, deputies located evidence linking him to the residential burglary and drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held at the Victor Valley Jail in lieu of $150,000.00 bail.

On May 30, 2013, at approximately 1:44 a.m., Deputies served a search warrant at Oakes’s residence in the 12800 block of Cedar Street in Oak Hills. Oakes was not home; however, deputies located evidence at his residence related to the burglary.

Today, the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office filed one count of burglary and two counts of grand theft on both suspects. We are asking for the communities’ assistance in locating Bradley Oakes.
