Wal-Mart at The Crossroads Shopping Center Now Open

Walmart CrossRoads Chopping centerVICTORVILLE: (VVNG) – The newly constructed Wal-Mart in Victorville on Palmdale Road held its grand opening today. Making it the third official Wal-Mart super center in the Victor Valley.

The location brings new employment opportunities boasting over 300 employees. According to city official’s the store is expected to generate millions in taxes. The store is located at 12234 Palmdale Road and will be open 24 hours to the public. It’s conveniently located near busy highway-395. Where a reported 96,000 vehicles travel per day. 

Although its address technically falls within Victorville city limits the store is mainly expected to service residents from the city of Adelanto. The 176,000 square feet of retail space will house a wide variety of merchandise that will include groceries.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at around 7:30 a.m., Wednesday morning. As customers streamed inside, Wal-Mart’s signature “greeters” handed them multi-colored cupcakes.

Construction on the newly constructed Crossroads shopping center at the corner of Palmdale road and highway 395 began in mid June of 2013. It has become a new home to tenants already open that include McDonald’s, Panda Express, Auto Zone, and Walgreens. Future tenants will include Domino’s, El Pollo Loco, GNC, Sally Beauty Supply, Chevron, Metro PCS, Great Clips, and Dollar Tree just to name a few.
