VICTORVILLE, CA – Victor Valley Global Medical Center will repeat the popular drive-thru flu shot clinics for the 2016-17 flu season on Friday, September 30th, from 8am to 10am, or until vaccines run out.
The $2 flu vaccines will be administered via drive thru or by walk-up directly outside of the main entrance of the hospital on Eleventh Street. Three-hundred (300) vaccines will be available.
Adults who wish to receive the vaccine will take Hesperia Road North to B Street, then East on B Street to Eleventh Street and then South on Eleventh Street. Signs will be posted directing participants.
Victor Valley Global Medical Center is located at 15248 Eleventh Street in Victorville.
Adults who are currently ill, have had previous reactions to flu vaccines or have ever had Guillain-Barre syndrome will not be able to receive the flu vaccine. Adults with severe egg allergies should not receive the flu vaccine.
Vaccines are available on a first come, first served basis and will be administered only to adults ages 18 and older. All participants will be screened by nursing staff before the flu vaccine will be administered. At the discretion of nursing staff, some adults may be denied vaccine based upon screening criteria.
