VICTORVILLE: The City of Victorville Animal Care & Control Division is offering $50 discount spay/neuter vouchers. The vouchers can be used to deduct $50 off the cost of a dog’s spay/neuter procedure at 12 different participating veterinarians in the Victor Valley. Vouchers are available while supplies last!
The vouchers are only available to Victorville residents who have a currently licensed dog in the City of Victorville. The vouchers are avaiable from the cashiers at Victorville City Hall, 14343 Civic Drive. City Hall is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
To receive a voucher, residents must provide proof of residency in Victorville. In addition, their dog must be currently licensed. The cashiers at City Hall can verify the dog’s license in the City’s database.
Every dog that lives in City limits must be vaccinated against rabies and have a dog license from the City. A lost dog found with a City license can be easily reunited with its owners. A City dog license is “a free phone call home!”
The cost to license an altered dog in Victorville is just $10 per year. The cost for an unaltered dog is $25 per year. Dog licenses are available from the cashiers at Victorville City Hall. Residents must bring proof of rabies vaccination, and proof of sterilization (if requesting the lower rate for an altered dog).
The spay/neuter voucher program is conducted in cooperation with the California Department of Food and Agriculture through grant funding. Spaying/neutering dogs reduces pet over-population, reduces the number of abandoned animals, and improves the health of pets.
