VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): Baby “Angel” is what the community is calling the baby that was believed to be left for dead in the parking lot of a Victorville Strip Mall. The outrage, sadness and just overall helplessness is causing the community to long for closure. The birth-mother of the baby girl was arrested just hours after giving birth to what witnesses say appeared to be a full-term baby.
The cause of death is to be determined by the San Bernardino Coroner’s office, but for now, the community is mourning the loss of a child and wondering what could have been for Baby “Angel”. The idea of a name came when Apple Valley resident Christina Herrera posted on the Victor Valley 411 Facebook group saying,”The lady who gave birth to her does not deserve to name her, as a community we should honor her with a name.
A gathering is planned for Baby “Angel” on Saturday, December 12 at 12:00 p.m. The community is invited to pray, light a candle and support each other through this tragic loss. The vigil is planned where the baby was found, one Palmdale Road and Green Tree Boulevard, at the Victorville Sign.
