SAN BERNARDINO-(VVNG.com): Thousands of people who were impacted by the Wednesday, December 2nd shooting at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino gathered together for a candle light vigil. Among those in attendance were Regional Center clients, co-workers, friends and family who joined together in unity at the San Manuel Stadium located at 280 South E. Street in San Bernardino on Thursday night.
A group of Muslim supporters went to pay their respects and to demonstrate they in no way condone the senseless act of violence. They stood outside the stadium and held signs in solidarity for the victims.
Attendees cried, lit candles, held pictures and prayed in remembrance for the fourteen lives lost and 21 injured. A high presence of police guarded the area for the planned candlelight vigil. One High Desert resident attended the vigil and said, “My son is a client there, we just wanted to pay our respect.”
The vigil ended with a reading of the names of the deceased, and with the crowd singing “God Bless America.”
