Victorville Woman Injured in Pit Bull Attack

VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): A 35-year-old woman was injured as a result of a dog bite to both arms on Friday evening.
At around 5:55 p.m. the San Bernardino County Fire Department, Victorville Station Deputies, AMR and Animal Control were dispatched to the report of a dog bite on the 14500 block of Crossing trail near Jockey Lane.
Per scanner traffic, the reporting party told dispatchers, that a woman at the residence had been bitten on both arms by a Pit Bull dog that would not release.
Authorities said that as the dog was contained in the backyard of the home he continued to lunge toward those containing him in an aggressive manner.
It is unclear what may have led to the attack at this time. The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor to moderate injuries. Animal Control was called to the location to take the dog for a 10-day quarantine.
