Victorville woman, 23, arrested for assault after pursuit

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A Victorville woman is being held on a $100,000 bail after allegedly assaulting a family member and evading police, officials said.
On February 15, 2020, at about 4:08 pm., deputies responded to the 16300 block of Pebble Beach Drive regarding an assault that had occurred.
Through investigation, deputies determined the suspect, 23-year-old Denise Royster, had been involved in an argument at the residence with a family member that she assaulted before leaving the location.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller said Royster fled the location and was located by a deputy in a vehicle on Pebble Beach Drive. “The deputy attempted a traffic stop, she failed to yield, and a brief pursuit occurred,” stated Miller.
Royster eventually stopped her vehicle in the 14600 block of 7th Street where she was arrested without incident.
She was transported and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for PC 245 (A)(1) Assault and VC2800.2(A) Felony Evading. Her bail is set 100k and is scheduled for arraignment in a Victorville courtroom on February 19, 2020.
