Victorville Police to Conduct Motorcycle Safety and DUI Enforcement Operations on November 14

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The Victorville Police Department will conduct two separate enforcement operations on Thursday, November 14, 2025, targeting motorcycle safety violations and impaired drivers.
From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., officers will focus on violations made by both drivers and motorcycle riders, including unsafe speed, improper turning, right-of-way violations, DUI, and unsafe lane changes.
According to written statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, “speeding is the most common factor, accounting for nearly a third of all crashes in the state,”
The department issued reminders for both drivers and motorcyclists. Drivers are urged to check mirrors and blind spots carefully and to maintain safe following distances. Motorcyclists are encouraged to wear DOT-compliant helmets, use reflective gear, and avoid high-speed lane splitting in free-flowing traffic.
Later that evening, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., officers will conduct DUI patrols targeting drivers suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or prescription medications.
“Impaired driving is preventable,” said Sergeant J. Snyder. “It’s a choice. If you’ve been drinking or taken drugs that impair, make the right choice by finding a sober driver or alternate transportation to take you places.”
According to the release, a first-time DUI conviction can cost an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties and result in a suspended license.
Both operations are funded by grants from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
