Victorville police seeking suspect who struck security guard in a golf cart with his car

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Victorville deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who struck a golf cart occupied by a security guard with his vehicle, officials said.

It happened on September 29, 2018, at the Food 4 Less in the 16200 block of Bear Valley Road in Victorville.

At about 3:39 pm, store security contacted a male subject in the store parking lot. According to a sheriff’s news release, “the store had experienced problems with the subject in the past and security informed him he was no longer welcome at the store.”

Police say the suspect got into a verbal altercation with security personnel. “He then got in his car and sideswiped the golf cart security was sitting in,” stated the release.

The subject was described as a black male, approximately 20-years old, and approximately 6’0” tall. He fled the scene before deputies arrived and was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts, black socks, and sandals.

The vehicle was described as a silver color Mercedes, similar to that in the photo, with damage to the front end.

Deputies are attempting to identify the subject and ask anyone with information about this investigation to contact Deputy D. Fratt, at the Victorville Police Department at (760) 241-2911 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at (760) 956-5001.
