VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Police are searching for a man after a woman says she narrowly escaped an attempted sexual assault Wednesday night.
According to the Victorville Police Department, the reported attack happened in an alleyway between Cottonwood Avenue and Bear Valley Road at about 11:20 pm. The victim said a man grabbed her and attempted to sexually assault her.
“She was able to get away when another person saw the incident occurring and came to assist her,” stated Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez.
Authorities did not provide a description of the attacker who fled on foot.
