Victorville Police ID man killed in Sunday crash

Guillermo Barragan, 25, of Victorville was killed in an early morning crash

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) Authorities have identified the man killed after crashing into parked car as Guillermo Barragan, 25, of Victorville.

Early Sunday morning at about 4:49 a.m. Barragan was behind the wheel of a Honda Accord traveling north in the 15800 block of La Paz Drive near Avalon Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle.

Barragan’s vehicle struck an unoccupied, Ford Fusion parked on La Paz Drive causing the parked vehicle to be pushed approximately 100 feet into the yard of a residence, sheriff’s officials said.

Barragan was the only occupant in the Honda and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Deputies with San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Regional MAIT Team are conducting the investigation to determine the cause of the collision.

A gofundme account started by Melenie Bernal is seeking help with burial expenses.

“My uncle passed away this morning in a horrible car accident, need help with funeral expenses which we were not prepared for,” stated the account.
