VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The Victorville Police Department will be conducting a DUI enforcement operation on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., targeting drivers suspected of operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
“Impaired driving is preventable,” Sergeant J. Snyder stated. “It’s a choice. If you’ve been drinking or taken drugs that impair, make the right choice by finding a sober driver or alternate transportation to take you places,” according to a written statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities emphasized that impaired driving is not limited to alcohol. Certain prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs can also affect driving ability. Additionally, while marijuana use may be legal for medicinal or recreational purposes in California, it is still illegal to drive under its influence.
A first-time DUI offense can result in an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, along with a suspended driver’s license.
This enforcement effort is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
