Victorville Police Department collecting pet food donations for local shelters

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has put together a countywide pet supply donation drive that will benefit four animal shelters within the county this year.
The Victorville Police Department is amongst five other stations collecting donations from now through December 21st and they hope the Victor Valley community will help make a difference this holiday season.
Sheriff’s Service Specialist Daylynn Weinberg is handling the drive at the Victorville station and says the general wish list this year is all foods (puppy and kitten food being the most desired), puppy pee pads, small collars, cleaning supplies of all types, but ANYTHING is welcome!
“If you have new or gently used items that you no longer have a use for in your own home, or would like to purchase new pet supplies at any local retailers, we will graciously accept any donations,” stated Weinberg.
Weinberg said the shelters do so much for animals in need all year-long and they want to help give back.
“We, as a Department, are encouraging our community to come together and help support our local San Bernardino County area animal shelters this holiday season,” said Weinberg.
Morongo Basin Humane Society, Yucaipa Animal Placement Society, Big Bear Animal Shelter, and Victor Valley Animal Protective League will all benefit from the donations.
Donations will be accepted through December 21st at any of the five locations:
- Big Bear Sheriff’s Station: 477 Summit Blvd – (909)866-0100
- Highland Police Department: 26985 Baseline – (909)425-9793
- Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station: 63665 SR2 – (760)366-4175
- Victorville Police Department: 14200 Amargosa Road – (760)241-2911
- Yucaipa Sheriff’s Station 34144 Yucaipa Blvd – (909)918-2305
If you have any questions, please contact one of the stations listed on the flier.
