VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Police in Victorville arrested a motorcyclist following a high-speed pursuit on Saturday afternoon.

It happened on December 28, 2019, at about 2:51 pm when a deputy observed the motorcycle in the area of Nisqualli and Mariposa Roads without a license plate and conducted a traffic stop, officials said.

The rider refused to stop and fled from the officer leading police on a pursuit.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Cindy Bachman told VVNG at one point in the pursuit, the suspect entered the freeway and was traveling at speeds in excess of 100mph.

Bachman said the suspect then exited to surface streets and finally stopped in the area of Dos Palmas and Amethyst Roads in Victorville.

The suspect, Ryon Lewis, 27-years-old of Victorville, was arrested for Felony Evading and booked at High Desert Detention Center with bail set at $100,000.

He is scheduled to appear in court on December 31st.
