Victorville Parolee Arrested for Weapon and Drug Charges After Shoplifting Incident at JCPenney

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 27-year-old parolee is back in jail after a shoplifting incident at the JCPenney located at the Mall of Victor Valley in Victorville.

On Friday, February 9, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Deputy Greterman responded to a call for service for two subjects stealing merchandise.

The deputy made contact with the suspects in the mall’s parking lot as they attempted to drive off.

The passenger, Ivan Anthony Rodrigue, 27, a resident of Victorville, was found to be on active parole.

A subsequent investigation revealed that the passenger, Ivan Anthony Rodriguez, 27, a resident of Victorville, was currently on active parole.

According to a news release, deputies conducted a parole search of the vehicle, leading to the discovery of over 400 rounds of .22 long rifle ammunition and two Beretta .22 caliber pistols.

As a result, Rodriguez was taken into custody and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on charges of H&S 11370.1(A), P.C. 29800(A)(1), P.C. 30305(A)(1), and P.C. 3056.
