Victorville mother arrested after 2-month-old baby hospitalized with injuries

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A Victorville woman was arrested for child abuse after her baby was found to have numerous injuries, officials said.

On July 24, 2019, the victim, a 2-month-old boy was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center for a burn to his right shoulder.

During the medical examination at LLUMC, forensic pediatricians found numerous other injuries to the victim, many of them in different stages of healing. All of the victim’s injuries were consistent with suspected child abuse, officials said.

Investigators determined the victim lives at home with his biological mother, Lashaundre Doss, 33.

Doss was arrested on Thursday, August 8, 2019, following an extensive investigation and was booked at Central Detention Center for Willful Cruelty to a Child and bail was set at $100,000.

The victim is currently hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
