VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Deputies are actively searching for 39‑year‑old Dana Davis of Victorville following a violent assault of his stepfather Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred on October 8, 2025, at approximately 5:07 p.m. in the 14100 block of La Mirada Street.
According to a written statement from San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Gloria Orejel, the male victim reportedly fled to a neighbor’s home and requested they call law enforcement.
When deputies arrived, they learned the victim had an active restraining order against Davis, who is the victim’s stepson.
Orejel stated the suspect was asked to leave the residence, but “the suspect physically assaulted the victim.”
Deputies observed that the victim had “extreme swelling to his left eye with bite marks surrounding a wound” and was actively bleeding. Despite the severity of his injuries, he declined medical aid at the scene and planned to transport himself to a hospital.
Deputies conducted an area search, but Dana Davis was not located. The case is being investigated under California Penal Code 203, which defines felony mayhem, a crime involving the unlawful and malicious disfigurement or disabling of another person.
