Victorville man riding minibike on 7th Street injured in hit-and-run

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Victorville Police are searching for a vehicle that struck a 21-year-old man riding a mini-bike and fled the scene.

It happened at about 7:47 pm on September 25, 2019, on Seventh Street between Lorene and La Paz Drives.

Deputies, Victorville City Fire, and AMR responded and treated one adult male suffering from a severe leg injury.

Firefighters requested a medical helicopter to airlift the patient. He was rushed to the helipad at Victor Valley Global Medical Center and subsequently flown via Mercy Air to a trauma center.

Witnesses at the scene reported a black Mustang struck the mini-bike and fled the scene. The Mustang is reported to have a damaged bumper.

A sheriff’s aviation unit responded to assist deputies as they searched the area for the suspect vehicle.
