Victorville man hits brother with frying pan after arguing over breakfast

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A Victorville man was booked for assault with a deadly weapon after he used a frying pan to attack his brother.
The suspect, 31-year-old Arturo Rodriguez, was arrested on January 12, 2020, at his residence in the 14800 block of Rosemary Drive.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez told VVNG at about 9:15 am deputies were called to conduct a welfare check after a caller reported a shirtless man standing in the street, bleeding.
Through investigation, deputies learned the 20-year-old victim had gotten into an argument with his brother, the suspect, over what was being made for breakfast, stated the spokeswoman.
“During the argument, the suspect picked up a pan and hit the victim several times in the head. The victim was able to run from the home and down the street, where the caller spotted him,” stated Mara Rodriguez.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover.
Deputies arrested Arturo Rodriguez and booked him at High Desert Detention Center for PC245(A)(1) Assault With a Deadly Weapon and PC647(F) Disorderly Conduct.
According to jail records, Rodriguez is being held on a $75,000 bail and is scheduled for a hearing on January 14, 2020.
