Victorville Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

VICTORVILLE:(VVNG.com)- A 40-year-old Victorville man was arrested for attempted murder after stabbing a victim multiple times.

On Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 11:59 A.M., deputies from the Victorville stations responded to the area of 6th and C Street in Victorville following a report of an assault.

Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim bleeding from multiple stab wounds.

Deputies searched for the vicinity for witnesses, and contacted Damien Sharpley in the vicinity of the crime. Sharpley matched the suspect description, provided by witnesses. The victim identified Sharpley as his attacker.

The victim was taken by helicopter to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he received treatment for multiple stab wounds to his chest, back, and neck. Sharpley was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for attempted murder.

Court records show Sharpley is currently being held at the West Valley Detention Center on a 1 million dollar bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, July 7, 2015.
