Victorville man arrested for attempted kidnapping of two young boys

It is believed there may be additional victims that have not come forward.

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — David Alvarado, 68, of Victorville was arrested for attempted kidnapping and annoying/molesting of two young boys, officials said.

It happened on October 7, 2018, at about 12:46 pm, when deputies responded to reports of an attempted kidnapping of two male juveniles in the area of Orick and Vasquez Avenues in Victorville.

According to a sheriff’s news release, Alvarado approached the victim’s under the age of 18 near a bus stop at the location and attempted to have the juveniles get into his car.

“When they refused, the suspect exited his car and approached the victims, continuing to try to coax them into the car and at one point exposing himself to the victims. A citizen witnessed the incident and told the suspect to leave the victims alone,” stated the release.

Before deputies could arrive, Alvarado drove away from the location but was seen entering the parking lot of an apartment complex nearby.

He exited his car and ran into his apartment, failing to comply with the orders of deputies on scene, officials said.

Deputies used their PA system to order Alvarado out of the apartment and took him into custody without further incident.

A photograph of Alvarado is being released, as it is believed there may be additional victims that have not come forward.
